Begin addresses the Knesset regarding the claim that the Prime Minister told the military correspondent of the 'New York Times' that Israel would agree to give Gaza over to a High Commissioner chosen by the UN. This counters what the Government had previously said in front of the world. The Government had said that Israel will never agree to a foreign power occupying any liberated part of Land of Israel. Begin demands the Knesset to stop any retreat before January 10.
