More than two hundred and fifty members of the Etzel were deported from Eretz Israel by the British, an act comparable with the Turkish response to the NILI and to the Nazis. Like the Nazis it is a precursor to far worse repression. But like the Nazis and other repressive regimes, it will fail to terrorize the population and stop its revolt against oppression for freedom.
